Terrazzo Covered in Old Yellow Wax

The terrazzo floor in this Marlboro, NY hallway was subject to heavy traffic and use. Old, yellowed wax acted like a dirt magnet. Our Natural Terrazzo Polishing Process

Our terrazzo restoration processes are the same as those used to restore natural stone: grinding, honing, and polishing. We did not just strip and reapply wax, we gave this floor a lasting shine and eliminated the need for future stripping and waxing. Here’s how.

First, we ground the floor, removing a fine layer from the surface of the terrazzo to erase the scratches and signs of wear. Then, we honed and polished the floor using a series of progressively finer grit diamond pads to achieve a beautiful, reflective finish. Now the terrazzo has a clean, inviting appearance.
